Welcome back!

We are back! There are exciting things coming up from us, and hopefully from you as well…

Friends, comrades, subscribers, curious voyeurs, lovers both past and present, enemies, and the passive scrollers...

We are back!

There are exciting things coming up from us, and hopefully from you as well…

Starting from later on this month, you will be hearing about the rise of fascist parties in Austrian and German electoral politics, as well as a primer on language and how it is politicized. We will also be hosting a piece on the colonial origin of the term ‘thug’ – which recently made a resurgence by politicians during the riots in the UK – and an exploration of how writing is made increasingly inaccessible for the many. Later on, we are planning to host a series of articles on the relationship between art and radical politics. Finally, we will soon announce the next volume of our antifascist hip hop night, Breaking the Borders, in Glasgow.

Moving forward, we aim to expand our content to include more art, poetry, and creative writing. The imagination is an incredibly potent tool in our arsenal, and now more than ever is it time to get locked and loaded. Both the individual and the collective imagination can be powerful in overcoming oppressive/colonial mindsets and for nurturing long-term resilience. Do you have poetry that’s been sitting alone? Fragments of musings? Sketches of new worlds? Photos of revolutions? Collages of radical love? Remember how you felt when you first saw a piece of art that touched your soul? Send it all our way.

Interregnum refuses to partake in a carnival of misery; so let us create a new carnival!

Please send us your art, your poetry, your photography, your rants, your imaginations and your musings! Though it may feel intimidating to be vulnerable in this way, it is important to do so. You, your work, your words, and your art is more powerful than you may think! Together our bonds of solidarity, understanding, and resistance can flourish.

Part of the reason Interregnum went on a pause is not only because it is critical to rest and powerful to reset, but also because of the size of the collective. We may be small, but we are mighty! However, we are always stronger together, and we are eager to collaborate with more people in this project. Interregnum cannot wait to hear from you, so please, drop us a line here at: contact@interregnum.live

If you are passionate about us but not inclined towards the creative arts or writing (fictional/non-fictional), please consider subscribing to us here or supporting us financially here. If you missed us but do not necessarily have a contribution right now, please reach out too.

Love, rage, solidarity and resistance,

-- Interregnum
